The faces of Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep is a very good actress. Her career is very interesting and long. Her first movie was Júlia (1977), and in her next movie she was nominated for her first Oscar. In the total she has 16 nominations to the Oscar, and she had won it twice. She was born in 1949 in Summit, New Jersey. In 1990s her career declined slightly because of her inability of suitable parts, but she shot back to the top in 1995, and she continues in the top.
In this text we are making an analysis of four characters played by her.
The movies that we chose are: The Hours (2002); The devil wears Prada (2006); Mamma Mia (2008); and Julie and Julia (2009).
This character wears long blond hair, and is wearing yellow earrings, she was a housewife and she lives a lie, because she thinks that her life needs to be as a romance that she is reading. She helps her friend the much she can. She lives the life of others, and she doesn’t worry about her own life. She doesn’t seem to be a happy person.
The devil wears Prada (2006) - in this movie her name is Miranda Priestly. She is the editor in chief of Runway Magazine, one of the most important modern fashion magazines. She is a legend in the fashion world and she thinks that the worldrevolves around her. She is proud and arrogant, in her speaking as well as in her attitudes. Her life is her profession. She is very formal and polite. She has a modern hair cut and a modern white hair. She dresses well.
Mamma Mia (2008) - in this movie her name is Donna.
She has long blond wavy hair, and she wears young clothes.
She is 40 years old, and she is a very crazy and funny woman.
She has a daughter and 3 possible fathers for her, and when she was young, she was crazier that now.
Julie and Julia (2009) – in this movie her name is Julia Child.
She is a cook that wrote a culinary book and became famous with it.
She has short brown curly hair and she wears common clothes.
She became a cook because she loves eating. She is funny and she doesn’t have vocation to cook. This movie is based on 2 true stories.
My opinion is that The Devil Wears Prada is the most difficult movie that she made, because in this movie her voice is softer and arrogant. In the other movies that she made she is crazy and funny, in this she is cult and pushy. It’s true that she can make a lot of characters in the movies. She is a very good actress. By Gustavo.
I think that the movie Julie and Julia is the most complicate character that she ever made. Firstly, because her style is totally different from the others: in Mamma Mia she wears casually; in Devil wears Prada she is totally elegant; in the hours she wears commonly; but in Julie and Julia she combined all characters. She dresses like a chubby religious mistress, but she also continues elegant. Her character speaks different from the others. She has a very strong accent. Moreover, different from other characters, she appears chubbier and she behaves like a chubby person. She loves eating and she decides to work with food. By Larissa.
