My grandmother’s name is Joana. She was born on August 04, 1941 in Rio Pardo-MG. Her mother’s name was Jovenuina and her father’s name was Rafael. They had seven sons and five daughters.
My grandmother had a difficult childhood, but also very happy. In the place where she was born the people was very poor and to survive everybody needed to work and that’s why my grandmother works since child. At that time and that place didn’t have school that’s why my grandmother didn’t study.
The people of that place belived very much in legends.
In 1966 my grandmother left MG and she came to Guarapuava. After that she came back to MG.
She told me that mineiro is equal gipsy, never stays in one place.
After several changes she decided to stay in Guarapuava.
When she arrived here, the city was very small. There wasn’t supermarket. At The Tears’lagoon there were few trees in and several ducks.
Today she lives at142, Flamboyant Street and she likes very much to live here.
She works downtown on Saldanha Marinho street with Coronel Saldanha.
She lives with a daughter and a grandson. She had ten sons, three sons are already died.
My father was born on July 25, in Rio Negro-Pr. He’s forty years old. His parents weren’t Brazilian. They were born in Europe. My grandmother was born in Poland and my grandfather was born in Germany. They came to Brazil when world war two began and they lived in Rio Negro city for many years. In Rio Negro they met and married. They had six sons.
My father is the youngest of his brothers.
My father studied for fourteen years. He reproved in fifth grade. At that time he worked in weighing of truck, and he transferred to Guarapuava. So he stayed living here.
At this city he met my mother and he married to her on December 27.
Today, we live at 336, Arthur Bernardes Street.
In 2002 my father was transferred to the farm’s department. He’s administering agent.
My father is admirable because he’s honest, intelligent and very funny. Sometimes he’s boring and nervous, but I like him very much.
